Group Descriptions:

Near Neighborhood Walking Group

Every Saturday at 9:00 a.m. BSPC members meet in the church parking lot and walk the Near Neighborhood around the church. It is a great way to center ourselves in the Near Neighborhood with which we are expanding our relationships and to enhance fellowship with others from church.

Meditation Group

Join Betty Brown and other Broad Streeters for a time of meditation. This group meets regularly in person at the church and online over Zoom.

Hiking Group

From beginners to seasoned hikers, all are welcome! Periodic hikes are planned throughout the year in the Columbus area as the weather allows. We often offer multiple hikes that vary in length to cater to your preference. Hikes include ways to intentionally get to know other Broad Streeters and have intentional faith connections as a part of each hike.

Weekly Bible Study

Lead by Rev. Amy Miracle, this is a weekly dive into the Bible that helps Amy prepare for preaching each week!

Monthly Bible Study

Join Ann for the 2022-2023 PW/Horizons Bible Study by Carol Bechtel, “Celebrating Sabbath: Accepting God’s Gift of Rest and Delight.”

There are two monthly meeting options; both on Zoom.

• Second Wednesday evening of each month, 6:30-8:00 p.m. (first meeting September 7)

• Second Thursday morning of each month, 10:00-11:30 a.m. (first meeting September 8)

First-timers of any age and stage are welcome.

Pizza and Prose

In this group, we like to enjoy pizza and discuss good books! This informal group meets once a month on a Friday evening, with rotating discussion leaders.

Dine with Nine

Dine with Nine is a social gathering of groups of nine adults composed of twosomes and solos. Groups meet with each other about once a month to have dinner, talk, relax and get to enjoy each other in a less formal setting. Dinners are potluck with the host providing the main course and others bringing the appetizer, salad, vegetable, and dessert. Every few months the groups are re-mixed to get to know additional people in a fun social atmosphere. Don’t think you can host? That’s okay, make a restaurant reservation for brunch (separate checks, please)!

Sunday Bible Study

Led by Karl Wetherholt, discuss the scripture passage a pastor will preach on the following week. Meet in the Parlor between services for 45 minutes. We'll practice social distance and wear masks.
